Damien Keogh has extensive contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering law experience advising clients in bringing construction and engineering projects from inception to conclusion.
Damien is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading construction and engineering lawyers with vast experience in all aspects of dispute resolution in construction, engineering and energy claims including litigation, arbitration, conciliation, mediation, adjudication and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Damien is a “Leading Individual” ranked by the Legal 500 2015 for Europe, Middle East & Africa. Damien is also named by the 2015 Construction and Real Estate Expert Guide as “one of Ireland’s top legal practitioners advising on construction law” as “chosen by his peers”.
Damien often does his own advocacy, rendering it unnecessary for clients to instruct Counsel, particularly in conciliation, mediation and adjudication. Damien is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a lecturer in Arbitration Law at Trinity College Dublin and the Law Society of Ireland and frequently acts as an Arbitrator in both domestic and international commercial arbitrations. Damien is also a trained mediator, adjudicator and conciliator. Damien is an Accredited Mediator with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). Damien is also a Certified Adjudicator with the CIArb.
Damien acts on behalf of all stakeholders in construction, engineering and energy projects including contractors, sub-contractors, design consultants, employers, developers and lenders. Damien also advises on procurement litigation matters specifically relating to construction and engineering projects.
Damien’s construction law experience and expertise is complimented by his personal experience of having worked in the construction industry prior to qualifying as a lawyer and this is what sets apart Damien Keogh and Associates as the client’s choice construction lawyers.
